School Missing $25,000 II

5thEstate.com exclusive - must credit (this means you New Era)

January 26, 2004

While the print-news-monopoly continues to play catch-up, 5thEstate.com continues to provide you with the information you need to decide for yourself - unfiltered!

On January 19, 2004 we printed the first details of Shalom Partnership's missing $25,000. When asked by an Intell reporter about the missing 25K, here is what Ed Bailey, the pastor of the Bethel AME church said about it then:

"We thought it was all a part of our money, and we found out at the end it was not," he said. "We found out we had overspent." Here's the Money

Oh really?

Here is a paragraph from the ONE PAGE agreement that Bailey signed with the school:

What part of CASH ADVANCE does Bailey NOT understand?

The scary part about the missing $25,000? School board members did NOT know about the missing money or the attempt to get the money back until 5thEstate.com started digging into it!

Here is what Bailey said in the same Intell story about when he knew about the missing $25,000:

"Bailey said he received a letter in November alerting him of the $25,000 owed by the partnership.

Give me the Money 'My reaction was surprise,' Bailey said. 'I spoke with Mr. Curry, and we agreed we would discuss methods of payment.' "

Oh really?

According to a letter sent from the school to Bailey - (unless the post office took three months to deliver it!) Bailey was informed of the missing money the next day after it was sent on AUGUST 11, 2003! (click to see entire letter)

But what about the school's assertion in the letter that says, "The money was to be returned to the School District upon completion of the contract."?

Oh really?

According to the contract, the money was to be deducted instead of paying the Shalom Partnership for the last invoice! The school should have NEVER sent Shalom Partnership the last $25,000!

So what were the "cultural translator's" qualifications? Again only 5thEstate.com provides you the job descriptions.

Page 1 Page 2 of qualifications

According to embattled superintendent Ric Curry at his news conference January 14, 2003, all "cultural translators" had criminal background checks. Oh really? That's not on the official job description!

At 5thEstate.com we are "Changing the way news is delivered" !
